Project Description

A customer in the digital communications industry contracted us to create the corrugated horn highlighted here.

Utilized in a communications device, this part was composed of aluminum, and expertly manipulated with our advanced CNC turning and milling processes. This is a prime example of our external and internal precision lathe work capabilities, machining the part while maintaining a tight tolerance throughout. The machined unit was subjected to a deburring treatment for cleaning and smoothing, and then anodized to a yellow Iridite finish. Integrity and quality were ensured with comprehensive visual and dimensional inspections.

Completed dimensions of the part were 6″ x 14″, executed according to customer supplied CAD drawings. Turnaround time for this project was 4 to 8 days, producing 4 pieces for the customer in California.
